We cover pretty much everything plumbing and heating related - full bathroom installations, boiler installations, servicing and repairs, general plumbing, underfloor heating, unvented hot water systems and soon to be renewable energy solutions including air-source heat pumps. If you’re not sure whether we can help, just ask.
Yes - I’m fully Gas Safe registered and qualified to carry out all boiler and heating work safely and professionally. All work is completed to the highest standard and fully compliant with current regulations. You can always ask to see my Gas Safe credentials - a reputable engineer will never mind being asked.
I’m based in Rochford, Essex and cover the surrounding areas including Southend-on-Sea, Rayleigh, Hockley, Wickford and beyond. If you’re not sure whether I cover your area, just drop me a message and I’ll let you know.
Simple - just get in touch via the contact form, give me a call or send me a message. I’ll have a chat with you about what you need, take a look at the job if necessary and give you a clear, honest, no-obligation quote. No hidden costs, no surprises.
I know how stressful it is when your boiler breaks down or you’ve got a plumbing emergency - especially in the middle of winter. I always aim to respond as quickly as possible and will do my best to get to you at the earliest opportunity.
Every bathroom is different, but as a general guide most full bathroom renovations take between 10 and 14 days depending on the size and complexity of the project. I’ll always give you a realistic timeframe upfront so you know exactly what to expect and can plan accordingly.
I provide a full end-to-end service. I work alongside a trusted team of skilled electricians, tilers and plasterers - so you have one point of contact throughout the entire project. No chasing multiple trades, no miscommunication. Just one reliable team from start to finish. Alternatively, if you wish to use your own trades, I am more than happy to work alongside them.
Absolutely - this is something I really enjoy. I have a strong eye for design and I’m always happy to help you make the most of your space, whether that’s suggesting layouts, helping with product choices or advising on how to maximise a smaller bathroom. It’s all part of the service.
Either works. I’m happy to supply everything needed for the job, or if you’ve already chosen your tiles, suite or fittings I can work with what you’ve bought. We’ll discuss this during the quoting stage so everything is clear from the start.
I’d always recommend an annual service - ideally before winter. Regular servicing keeps your boiler running safely and efficiently, helps avoid unexpected breakdowns and is usually a condition of your manufacturer’s warranty. It’s a small investment that can save you a lot of money and hassle in the long run.
It depends on the age and condition of your boiler. If it’s under 10 years old and hasn’t had major issues before, a repair is usually the right call. If it’s older, regularly breaking down or your energy bills have crept up, it’s often more cost-effective to replace it. I’ll always give you my honest opinion - I’ll never recommend a new boiler just to make a sale.
Yes - both wet and electric systems. Whether you’re doing a full renovation or just want underfloor heating in a single room like a bathroom or kitchen, I’ll advise on the best option for your home and install it properly from start to finish.
An unvented hot water system connects directly to the mains water supply, which means you get excellent water pressure to all your taps and showers - no cold showers waiting for the tank to refill. It’s a great upgrade for most homes and I can advise on whether it’s the right choice for your property.
Absolutely. All work carried out by MJW Services is completed to the highest standard and I stand behind everything I do. Manufacturer warranties apply to all relevant products and installations, and I’m always on hand if you have any concerns after the job is done.
Yes - fully insured for all work carried out. Your home and your peace of mind are important to me and I’d never cut corners on something as fundamental as that.
Still got a question? Don’t hesitate to get in touch - there’s no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your home.
